ANALOG ROULETTE, an array of captivating photographs, carefully stenciled into exquisite forms, SLIM’s free-hand stencil work accentuates movement, they just flow!

Artist statement on ANALOG ROULETTE:

“Within an era of instant gratification there is the digital camera. Amongst this digital frenzy there lays a cult of photographers who still prefer the process of film. It’s these individuals who continue to keep this art form alive. From candid to conceptual captures there is a mystery in every roll of film. Though film photography is a medium for the masses and not only for camera savvy individuals, it’s a classic method of book marking one’s life.

The unforgivingness of film photography is equal to free hand stencil cutting, making the art forms both attracting and challenging. When a piece is removed to create an image there is no going back, just as the shutter of the camera closes when a photo is taken. By applying the beauty of both photography and stenciling this exhibition presents unique pieces of work.”
